Woman, 21, earns six figures after leaving uni to run business – Plymouth Live

A woman aged 21 has earned a six-figure sum in under a year after dropping out of university to become an entrepreneur. Olivia Crabtree started a small business to pay for her food shopping while studying – but the enterprise proved to be a big success and gave her a full income within just three months.

Olivia hoped to make 40 a week by selling handmade gifts on Etsy. But trade was much more brisk than she anticipated, meaning she felt able to quit her course at the University of York.

But her feelings changed after she took the plunge, Yorkshire Live reports. “I started my business with financial motivation in mind – I didn’t have a real passion for it, so when I went full-time I lost my love for it,” said Olivia.
