Turkey hopes to earn $100 billion from tourists by 2028 – Travel Wires
Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the country’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, has set a goal of 90 million visitors and $100 billion in tourism revenue.
According to Ersoy, the Turkish tourism industry will become income-oriented, not cost-oriented, as this specific sector will see significant growth in 2023. Ersoy emphasised the need of expanding into new markets as a means of achieving the goal of attracting a larger tourist population and generating more revenues from the sector.
At the same time, the goal is to expand businesses everywhere Turkish Airlines operates, the Minister stated.
