The ‘secret’ Google game to celebrate International Cat Day – and feline lovers can’t get enough of it – Manchester Evening News

Google has celebrated International Cat Day with a secret game, much to the delight of feline lovers worldwide.

Coined by Canadian charity International Fund for Animal Welfare, the special day takes place annually on August 8. Its purpose is it educate people about cats and how to properly look after them.

International Cat Day has been running since 2002 and this year search engine Google has created an adorable game to mark the occasion. To find it, all you have to do is type ‘International Cat Day’ into Google and press search.

Once the page has loaded, there will be a cat paw button just under the search bar to the left. Pressing the icon will summon a virtual cat’s leg to reach out across the screen and make a pawprint.

As you move around the page and click, different breeds of cats will make paw print marks across your screen, which stay put until you click the ‘x’…
