Teachers are being asked to provide dating profiles and social media pseudonyms when applying for jobs at schools.

Schools should consider carrying out online searches on shortlisted candidates, according to safeguarding guidance published last year by the government.
An application form for Chesham Grammar School, in Buckinghamshire, asked candidates to provide account names and handles for all of their social media accounts, including any under a nickname or pseudonym, the Schools Week website reported.
