Starrcast Files To Trademark ‘SuperClash’ – Fightful

Conrad Thompson’s Starrcast filed to trademark the name of a classic event.

On September 7, the company filed to trademark “SuperClash”, which has a lot of history in the wrestling world. The American Wrestling Assocation promoted several Superclash events in the 1980s. SuperClash III in 1988 remains memorable because it marked the pay-per-view debuts of future Hall of Famers Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Jerry Lawler, and Sgt. Slaughter, among others, also competed at that show.

The AWA’s final SuperClash event was held in 1990, and it was later added to the WWE Network.

The trademark filing , according to PWInsider, was for multiple areas:

Hats; Shirts; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer…
