SEO, ChatGPT, Bard, and gimmicks – Coywolf News
Why SEO continues to be misunderstood and why conversational AI won’t replace traditional search engines anytime soon.
Unbeknownst to me, Ernie Smith, founder of Tedium, posted a request on Mastodon looking for SEOs that have been in the space for a while and have seen things. Eugen Rochko, founder and CEO of Mastodon, replied to Ernie with, “Maybe @jon?” I was alerted by Rochko’s mention and immediately connected with Smith.
Smith was writing a piece on SEO and conversational AI for Vice News’ tech section, Motherboard. He wanted a fresh perspective on SEO and to also learn my thoughts about Bing and Google adding conversational AI to their search engines. He gave me five thoughtful questions, and I gave him back five thoughtful answers.
