Samsung Cans Plan To Change Default Search-Engine From … – ChannelNews
There are reports Samsung are hitting a “pause” on moving the default search-engine from Google to Bing.
It comes just one month after a report claimed Samsung was impressed by Microsoft’s advancement in AI search and it seemed the company planned to switch.
Google has since outlined plans for its own AI implement in search.
There were plans to implement AI-generated summaries at the top of listing, a converse mode bringing the Bard char experience to Search, along with ways to compare restaurants, streamline shopping experiences, and answers questions such as whether a hot dog is sandwich.
It is also in talks to include an AI-powered snapshot, acting as primer to a topic, with a three link selection.
Google announced this will also help users come up with names for businesses, and test knowledge about the ins and outs of that topic.
It now seems that Samsung isn’t prepared to jump ship yet.
