Sacramento taking Economic Gardening business program applications – Sacramento Business Journal – The Business Journals

The city of Sacramento is now accepting applications for an economic development program that offers local businesses consulting services and up to $50,000 in matching funds to help them continue to grow.

The application period for the Economic Gardening 2.0 program opened Tuesday and closes Oct. 4.

This is the third year of the program, which is run out of the city’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development and administered by local consulting firm Berkeley Strategy Advisors.

“The Economic Gardening program has helped local businesses increase revenue, create more jobs and expand their operations right here in Sacramento,” said city of Sacramento Project Manager Lorrie Clark, in a statement. “The matching grant opportunity and high-level business technical assistance fosters innovation, growth and workforce development.”
