Police Arrest Nokesville Man for Malicious Wounding, Abduction: Man prevented family member from calling for assistance – bristowbeat.com

On August 2 at 12:35 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Amy Lane in Nokesville to investigate an assault.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 31-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times with a blunt object. At one point, the victim retrieved her phone and was attempting to contact the police when the accused took the phone from the victim.

The accused then offered to drive the victim to an area hospital and both parties left the residence. The accused did not drive to a hospital and eventually stopped in the area of Mohican Road and Harvard Street where the victim attempted to exit the vehicle. The accused then prevented the victim from exiting the vehicle by beginning to drive away.
