Collins Aerospace’s InteliSence system was recognized as one of the best at the Aircraft Cabin Interiors Expo, where it took home a Crystal Cabin Award. The new system allows flight attendants to be able to better cater to each passenger’s individual needs thanks to the multitude of sensors installed throughout the plane.
A Collins executive suggested in a presentation that the system might track your drink selection and glass level so that flight attendants could bring you a refill without leaving their seats.
Collins Aerospace’s vice president of cabin experience – interiors, Mark Vaughan, explained that InteliSence system can also monitor and communicate system health back to ground, giving operators the information they need to proactively minimize errors in a timely, efficient, and predictable manner.
