Multiple units respond to house fire on West Main Avenue – wnky.com
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local fire officials are investigating after a house fire broke out in Bowling Green.
Around 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, the Bowling Green Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of West Main Avenue.
BGFD Battalion 1, Truck 1, Rescue 1, Engine 2, Truck 4, Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 7 and FI 1 arrived to assist at the scene, as well as a Bowling Green Police Department unit.
Officials say headquarters units also arrived and found a one and a half story house with heavy fire involvement beginning to extend through the roof.
The fire extended to the crawl space and the half story, according to officials.
BGFD completed a search of the house and began to work on extinguishing the fire. Other units then arrived on scene to deploy back up lines, assist in search for victims and vertically ventilate the structure.
No injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
