Many voters complain about names missing from ward-wise list – Times of India

Nagpur: Besides moving the names of a large number of electors to other wards, names of many voters have gone missing from the draft of voters list prepared by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for the ensuing municipal elections 2022. The civic body has received 518 objections by the last date, and final list will be published on July 9.
TOI had on July 3 reported that names of over a lakh voters have been placed in wards where they do not reside. The collector office prepared booth-wise voters list of six assembly constituencies as on May 31. The state government had adopted new ward system of three corporators in a ward for the ensuing polls. As per directives of the State Election Commission (SEC), the NMC had split assembly-wise voters list into new 52 wards.
