Man arrested for ₹1 lakh online fraud – Times of India

Indore: Crime branch of Indore police on Thursday arrested a man who had duped a woman of Rs one lakh by posting a fake number of a courier company on a popular online search engine.
The police received a complaint from one Ujjwala who claimed that she had searched for customer care number of a courier company online and called on it. She filled an open form for which she paid Rs two and soon after Rs one lakh was deducted from her account and transferred to another account.
DCP Nimesh Agarwal said that the fraud investigation team started probe in the case and detected the fraudster. The money was recovered and returned to the complainant.
