Local News: Times website changing on June 1 (5/28/22) – Monett Times

On Wednesday, those who frequent www.monett-times.com may notice things look a little different.

Our owner, CherryRoad Media, has set June 1 as the date our website will merge out of the former Rust Communications system and into CherryRoad’s.

One of the benefits of this process is a different content management system that will make parts of our jobs easier. And, for the time being, we will not have a paywall.

However, the change will affect the content currently on monett-times.com. As of Wednesday, we will have content from May 2022 onward. Search engine links to stories older than that will not work, and for a period, those articles will be inaccessible.

As the editor, this was one of my fears when taking over, that we would lose the more than 10 years of content on our website, and it has been a priority to fight to make sure that did not happen.

Fortunately, CherryRoad is working on creating an archive of content under our Rust years, though a timeline for that archive is not…
