Life at Brafton imitates art for Kim Mehrtens
For many of our copywriters, putting words together creatively is not a choice. It is a deep, lasting itch. The kind that only gets angrier the more you scratch it. If we didn’t, we’d probably be scratching messages on cafe windows with our fingers, suggesting how “cappucino” might fit a haiku.
Kim Mehrtrens felt the attraction of beautiful language throughout her life. At Brafton, she can flex and test her skills on every creative assignment, helping clients rise above the competition. But you can also see how she affects several of our other writers.
“I started as a content writer a few years ago,” she tells us. “I really love writing and wanted to turn from my last job to a more editorially focused position. From there, I was promoted to Senior Writer, which allowed me to work on more challenging pieces of content and become an SME expert for education clients. I’m really proud of that work. These days, however, I am an editorial manager.”
Kim is beaming. Her smile is as memorable as her vocabulary. In fact, they share a few qualities – both are wide, sunny and make you feel like anything is possible.
