Korean Air backs Busan’s application to host the World Expo 2030 – Travel Wires
Korean Air is supporting Busan, Korea’s second-largest city, in the quest for the event’s host.
The World Expo is a global gathering that addresses the pressing problems confronting modern society and celebrates the achievements of mankind. The Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty were also revealed during previous World Expo editions, as were innovations like the telephone, TV, and escalator.
The authority deciding the event’s host will be the Bureau International des Expositions. BIE will hold an election later this year to choose which country will host World Expo 2030 after each potential host nation’s proposal has been carefully reviewed.
The flights and travel for the BIE Inquiry Missions heading to Korea this April are being covered by Korean Air.
