JetBlue To Launch Service To Amsterdam – Travel Wires

As part of its ongoing transatlantic development, the carrier plans to begin offering flights to Amsterdam before the end of the year.

There will be daily flights connecting Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and JFK Airport in New York beginning in the “late” summer, with service from Boston to Amsterdam to be available at some point in the future. The beginning of the operations is yet to be announced by the airline’s representatives.

JetBlue currently operates flights out of Heathrow and Gatwick in London, and soon the airline will start offering regular flights to Paris.

“This route is long overdue for some competition,” declared Robin Hayes, the carrier’s CEO. In his opinion, since US legacy carriers’ alliances with foreign airlines provide them with exemption from antitrust rules, they have been able to charge exorbitant prices while providing subpar service to their consumers for years.
