Why no clampdown on Google bloatware such as drive, news, TV, duo etc. Why do they not conside… moreIndia literally just passed a law stating that all Android phones sold in the near future should give the consumer an option on first setup as to whether or not they want google to be the default search engine iirc? So they not being selective

Besides that, removing Google from Android is not as easy as it seems. It’s not an Indian govt thing but rather AOSP as a whole. If I’m not wrong, for any Android device to be sold on official channels, they need to include the entire GMS Suite – that’s one of Google’s requirements for Android OEMs

Currently, manufacturers from China occupy the major share of the smartphone market. Xiaomi, Oppo, and vivo account for 47% of all sales, while Samsung sits at 20% and Apple at just 3%.

Correction – It’s 70% and not 47%.
