HS: Finland freezes more oligarch-related assets | News | Yle Uutiset – YLE News

According to Helsingin Sanomat, the National Enforcement Agency seized the shares and proceeds of Yandex Finland, while also freezing the shares of Långvik Capital and its holdings in two other companies.

More assets linked to Russian oligarchs have been seized by the National Enforcement Authority, Helsingin Sanomat reported on Thursday.

According to the paper, seizure decisions taken in August and September concern Boris and Arkadi Rotenberg, as well as Arkady Volozhi, who are on EU sanctions lists. All these individuals are close associates with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Thursday, the EU also announced even broader sanctions lists as well as increased arms support to Ukraine.

Yandex under sanctions

According to HS, the National Enforcement Authority seized the Finnish holdings of the Russian search engine company Yandex after the company’s founder Volozhin was added to EU sanctions lists.
