How to leverage Google hotel ads to increase direct bookings – ETHospitality



GHA (formerly known as Google Hotel Finder), is a metasearch engine — just like Tripadvisor and Skyscanner — operated by Google. Based on a user’s search, GHA presents information about a hotel’s room availability and pricing on various channels and OTAs, enabling the user to compare and select the best possible prices.

How does GHA work?
GHA enables channels to display prices of hotels. Hotels can also choose to display their own website pricing. These prices are in turn displayed on various Google properties including Google’s Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Originally a paid service, GHA now enables hotels to display organic (free) listings. According to Google, this would help collect more data on hotel rates and provide a better user experience.
