Each year, Google publishes its Year in Search – a roundup of the top-trending phrases on the search engine for the year. The lists cover a variety of topics from news events to TV shows and provide a window into what’s on our collective minds throughout the year.
This year, Google has also released a Local Year in Search for cities in the U.S. to highlight the unique characteristics of different metropolitan areas. Google’s local hub offered a few interesting tidbits about Houston’s search history this year, but we were left wanting more.
We decided to dive a bit deeper into the top searches for different categories in Houston, and we’ve rounded up what we learned from Houston’s search history this year below.
