Google has reportedly made some changes to the backup feature in the Photos app. The feature change is related to video backup in the app. AndroidCentral has reported that the search engine giant has removed the option to exclude videos while taking backup over a cellular connection.
The company has not made any official announcement regarding the change. The feature earlier allowed users to prevent Google Photos from backing up videos on cellular internet connection.
This means now there’s no way for users to avoid video backup and prevent it from consuming a large chunk of daily data quota available as a part of the plan. Most connections today offer unlimited data, but there’s a certain daily data limit like 1.5GB or 2GB, post which the speed reduces.
