Google launches Pokemon mini-game in search engine – but fans spot issue – My London

Budding Pokemon masters can finally put their skills to the test with a new Google mini-game.

How strong is your Pokemon knowledge? Do you think you could name all 151 original Pokemon and fill out a Kanto region Pokedex? That’s the premise of a new mini-game launched by Google, which allows you to catch one of every creature from the first generation of the video game franchise simply by searching their names.

Fans were thrilled when the game was uncovered, with one man on TikTok urging people to head to the Google Chrome app on their phones as quickly as possible to try out the fun feature for themselves. All you have to do is search for any of the original 151 Pokemon on the Google Chrome app and wait for a Pokeball to appear in the bottom corner.

When you click the Pokeball, your screen will show an animation of you catching the Pokemon you searched for and will then show your Pokedex progress – leaving you to search for the remaining 150 creatures to fill it out.
