Elisabeth Smith joins The Chronicle as web producer – San Francisco Chronicle
The San Francisco Chronicle is pleased to announce that Elisabeth Smith has joined the staff as a digital producer, primarily working the morning shift.
Smith is a graduate of the University of San Diego and a resident of Alameda. She spent the past two years working as a digital producer for the USA TODAY Network’s Plains Digital Optimization Team, collaborating with more than 30 newsrooms to optimize and create content, target audiences and grow engagement. Prior to that she spent nearly three years producing and managing the CBS13 and Good Day Sacramento websites.
In her role with The Chronicle, she will help curate the home page of our website and the SF Chronicle app, write and send breaking news alerts, post stories to social media and work with the audience team to build reader engagement and retention. She will work mostly as an AM producer, working closely with the breaking news team to ensure our top stories reach our largest digital audiences.
