In project management, a deliverable is the product, service or capability that an organization produces at the end of a project.
A deliverable can be the tangible or intangible result of a project. Every product you regularly use, from your cellphone to the key fob for your car, was once a project deliverable. However, a deliverable can also be an internal document, a software capability, a technique, a process or any defined result. Many of the deliverables we regularly use, like a TV remote, were the cumulative result of multiple projects – each with its own deliverable.
