CNIL closes Google injunction over cookie consent practices – International Association of Privacy Professionals
The Restricted Committee of France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, closed its 2021 injunction against Google for its cookie consent practices that resulted in a 150 million euro ePrivacy Directive fine. The injunction was closed after Google added a “refuse all” cookies button for French users on its search engine and YouTube.
