Good morning, Cleveland Browns fans!
As much as quarterbacks are the stars of football teams, they don’t necessarily always drive the most clicks, believe it or not. From my experience, nothing drives more clicks than head coach searches. Those take a while during the off-season, the interviews are very public, and there’s a whole associated search for staff and player changes that go along with them. They’re a bonanza for the media. I’ve got the numbers, not just from my site but from dozens from my days running the subscription businesses at Scout.com and 247Sports.com.
Perhaps that is why so many in the yap-for-ratings or type-for-clicks business are playing up the possibility of Kevin Stefanski getting fired this off-season and even suggesting replacements for him. I can’t speak for everyone here on the OBR, but I don’t think Stefanski will be replaced (or should be), although I know that this opinion will pull me some downvotes from some fans who…
