Three women gave useful advice to a room full of entrepreneurs Tuesday.

Lovelee Brooks, Divine Bunch and Sakinah Bunch spoke at the Radcliff Small Business Alliance’s monthly meeting, providing tips from search engine optimization to managing mental health.

Brooks owns Lovelee Occasion & Etc., a virtual solutions business. She said virtual assistants, which are remote contract workers that can perform a variety of services, can be valuable to small business owners, especially those that aren’t as tech savvy. She said in a business environment becoming more and more dependent on the internet, being offline means alienating a large portion of potential customers.

“There is an estimated 9 billion people on Earth, and 4.6 billion of them are on somebody’s social media platform,” she said.

She said making good use of social media wasn’t as straightforward as it may seem, and consulting with a virtual assistant may help business owners get better results.
