Buford man arrested on child pornography charges – WSB-TV Channel 2 – Atlanta – WSB Atlanta
HALL COUNTY, Ga — A Buford man has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Agents with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched the home of 59-year-old Anthony J. Mayer on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the initial investigation, Mayer had an image of child pornography and uploaded it to a search engine on May 28, 2022. Officials say that there’s no evidence the victim in the image was a child from the area.
Mayer is charged with one felony count of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Additional charges are possible pending the outcome of forensic processing of the electronics seized from Mayer’s residence, according to deputies.

Mayer was booked into the Hall County Jail, where he remains held without bond.
