Bolton school’s name mishap on Google – The Bolton News

A Bolton School have asked Google to correct their name on its pages after discovering a mishap.

Little Lever School in Bolton found that they were appearing as Little Hall School on Google, which would cause confusion for anyone searching them.

As students head back for the new term, Little Lever School were keen to ensure parents of new students that their name had not changed.

A spokesman for the school said: “It has come to our attention that a Google search for Little Lever School shows the school named as New Hall Village School.

“Please be assured this is false and we have not changed our name.

“On discovery we have notified Google this is inaccurate and asked for the search to be corrected.

“We are now awaiting for them to rectify the issue.”

Leanne Bendy Broadley edited the name on Google to the correct one when she saw it.

She said on the school’s Facebook page: “If the School didn’t take ownership of the business on Google then anyone can claim the ownership.
