Arizona’s Havasupai Falls to Reopen to Tourist in February – Travel Wires
After a three-year-long closure, Arizona’s Havasupai falls will reopen to tourists on February 2.
According to the Havasupai Tribe, the northern Arizona waterfalls, which are located on the Havasupai Reservation, will reopen for permit holders on February 1. Since 2020, the falls have been closed to tourists to prevent COVID-19 spreading.
According to the official tourism Facebook page, currently, travelers who were affected by COVID-19’s closure won’t be allowed to make reservations for 2023. The reservation process for 2024 will open in February 2024.
This opening comes months after severe flooding in the area, which caused many trails and bridges to be destroyed. However, the tribe stated that it was open for visitors.
