Are small commercial agents ready for a major shift? – Insurance Business

More than half of independent agents think more commercial insurance transactions will take place online in the next three years. That’s according to a new joint survey by Semsee, an automated small commercial quoting platform for insurance agents, and TrustedChoice.com, a digital platform for independent agents and brokers.

“The agent needs to understand that they’re dealing with a different customer than they were five-years-ago,” said Philip Charles-Pierre (pictured), CEO of Semsee, a platform for selling commercial insurance. “The small business owner is ready for the industry to be digital, in terms of how they interact with products, how they interact with insurance agents, and how they interact with carriers. And they are pulling the industry along with it.”
